DiskClon Overview
DiskClon is designed to clone hard disks quickly and easily with world’s most powerful performance. It also supports wipe function ensuring complete contents deletion of hard disks.
[DiskClon is mainly used for the following purposes]
A. Hard disk cloning
- Production solution for PC, UMPC, Server manufacturers
- Production solution for POS and ATM manufacturers
- Maintenance solution for schools, Internet cafes and government offices
- Cloning of source disks for national information agency and criminal investigation agency
B. Complete hard disk contents removal
- When reuse/dispose of computers used for companies
- When reuse/dispose of computers used for military agency and national information agency
- When reuse/dispose of computers used for government offices
Clone
- Disk to Disk (1:3)
- Disk to image backup (*.wcl own format)
- Image backup file to Disk (1:4)
Supported cloning mode
What if the original disk
that you have to manage isn’t just one or two?
Keep the original disk as a file Bulk source disk backup (Reservation Backup) All ports support backup function and it is a feature that can possibly perform sequential automatic backup process when the original disk to be worked on is connected and set to the each port

As stored original disk image file Cloning easily and efficiently
It not only collectively clones same contents to the target disks but also, sequential cloning by selecting original disk image file stored separately to each target disk is also possible.

Wipe
Eraser wiping impossible of data recovery
In addition, the disk is reusable. As a method that overwrites disk’s data with same text, it is a method that allows re-use of disks but data is not recoverable
- Five kinds of wiping mode · Single Pass
- U.S. DoD 5220.22-M(E) – 3 Pass
- U.S. DoD 5220.22-M(ECE) – 7 Pass
- U.S. NSA erasure – 7 Pass
- Peter Gutmann – 35 Pass

We’ll write the work completion report instead of you
Issues wiping result report After completion of delete operation, it stores all details such as work PC / storage medium / work hours / work method and generates and issues delete result report

Time-consuming data deletion Plug & Wipe to work more efficiently
Most of the disks working in the field do not have same operation time. Among the disks in operation, rather than the relatively faster disks slowing down to match the other disks, it is made so that faster ones finish the task at a faster speed and do other disk operations in that place. (By supporting Hot-Swap, it is a function capable of recognizing disk by each port and performing operation without a separate setting)
DiskClon supports wipe function that delete data of disk not to be recovered.
It is eraser type and support 5 methods including DoD standard
Single Pass | Initializes sectors with fixed values |
---|---|
U.S. DoD 5220.22-M(E) – 3 Pass |
Initializesall the sectors three times in following order: fixed value → complement value → pseudo-random value |
U.S. DoD 5220.22-M(ECE) – 7 Pass |
Initializes all the sectors seven times with random values in follwing order: U.S. DoD 5220.22-M(E) → 5220.22-M(C) → 5220.22-M(E) |
U.S. NSA erasure – 7 Pass | Initializes all the sectors seven times with random values |
Peter Gutmann – 35 Pass | Initializes all the sectors 35 times with a pre-ordered pattern. Though theoretically complete, it is said to be practically superfluous. |
※ U.S. DoD 5220.22-M(C): Overwrites disks with random numbers. Described also with 5220.22-M(E)
#Reference: Eraser VS Degausser method
Type | Eraser | Degausser |
---|---|---|
Method | Write same data on whole hard disk many times to delete data | Disuse hard disk by creating magnetic field to hard disk that is a magnetic storage medium |
Recycle | Possible | Impossible |
Time | Around 1 hour (Time based on data size or wipe method) | Around 5 minutes |
Recovery | Unrecoverable in case of over 3 pass | Unusable |
Dimension | Small, about 10kgs | Big, about 50~150kgs |
Price | Low price | High Price |
Wipe of DiskClon is eraser method including DoD standard
